“A New Day EP Out Now”
In the middle of 2012, Lu Fariña, made the difficult decision to step away from the stage for personal reasons. This moment not only marked the end of the band’s formative era but also presented a significant challenge that could have derailed their progress. Instead, the remaining members used this turning point as a catalyst for growth and reinvention, embracing the uncertainty with a renewed sense of purpose.
The departure of Lu Fariña, while closing the first chapter of Days of Season’s story, opened the door for new possibilities. It was during this time that they crossed paths with Emily, a vocalist from Tarrytown in Westchester County, New York. Emily’s arrival infused the band with fresh energy, her powerful voice and distinct style blending seamlessly with the band’s evolving sound.
The chemistry between Emily and the band members was palpable, and together, they embarked on a new creative journey that would define the next phase of their music.
In late 2012, the newly revitalized Days of Season entered the studio, eager to channel their recent experiences into new material. The recording sessions were marked by an intense focus and a shared determination to push their creative boundaries.
By June 2013, their efforts culminated in the release of their second EP, MOMENTUM. Produced by the band and recorded by Jim Cobb, MOMENTUM in NADA STUDIOS Montgomery NY, was a testament to the resilience and artistic growth of Days of Season.
The EP captured their journey through change, blending raw emotion with intricate musicality, and showcasing the band’s ability to adapt while staying true to their core identity.
The MOMEMTUM EP didn’t stop there. Just two months after the release of the EP, Simultaneously, Days of Season worked on their Secound music video for the track “Disparity.” from the MOMEMTUM EP, Directed by the visionary team at Respect Films (Patrick Meaney and Jordan Rennert),
The Video was Shooting in many Location: School, Restaurante, Office and the backyard of the Emily mother house in West Chester NY, and Showcase Studios. Our fans have always been a great source of support and inspiration to keep us going on this journey.
The video visually encapsulated the themes of change, struggle, and perseverance that defined this era of their journey. “Disparity” became a powerful visual and auditory representation of the band’s evolution, highlighting both their vulnerability and their unwavering commitment to their craft.
Through these transformative experiences, Days of Season emerged stronger, with a clear vision for their future. The challenges they faced not only tested their resolve but also solidified their identity as a band willing to evolve and grow, no matter the obstacles. MOMENTUM and “Disparity” stand as milestones in their story, reflecting their journey of transformation and the powerful connections forged through music.
